Tiger Cruise

This past week has been spent running around and gathering information so I could finish filling out the forms for the Tiger Cruise. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's what my dad went on last summer with Carlos. For this deployment, Carlos has asked me to join him on the Tiger Cruise aboard the USS Ronald Reagan from Hawaii back to San Diego. For six days I'll be on board ship with him. This should be both fun and interesting!

The last time I got to spend time with Carlos, just the two of us was when I went to Puerto Rico almost two years ago. We didn't know it at the time, but mom and dad made a bet that we would start fighting within two hours of my arrival. Well, 1 hour and 45 minutes later we were at a resturaunt having a discusion about movies and we couldn't remember the name of a director. We knew that mom would know so we decided to call her. "Hun you owe me five dollars", plus tons of laughing was all we heard on the other end of the phone.

This is a picture from the USS Ronald Reagan last week during a lightning storm.

Well gotta run now. Have to prepare a project that's due next week and study for two tests. Hope everyone is doing great and please remember to keep in touch!

Love Always,
Monica

Wow, I'd love to go on a cruise somewhere, just to say that I'd gotten the heck out of Mesa, Arizona. Life is so mundane here. While jealously and envy are certainly forms of disease, I'm sincerely happy for you also.

I can't wait to see the posts that follow on the heels of your return from the glorious venture to be. I can only imagine what kinds of adrenaline must be flowing through yourself and Carlos... My last major life goal was to backpack the Grand Canyon rim to rim to rim. (about 50 miles)

Well, I accomplished that about two years ago now. Looking forward, my next two goals will be to obtain the first Bachelor's degree of anyone in my family and take a journey outside of the U.S. (which in 21 yrs., I haven't done)

Enough about me... Enjoy your trip to the fullest extent possible. I offer only the best regards and my most genuine love to you also.

I wish that i could go. I miss the Reagan, well being on a boat anyway. But you have to take pictures for me and i will give you specific places that you should try to get carlos to take you on the boat although i dont know if they will let you but who knows. Well I am so jealous. When i go back in I am planning on trying to get with a squadron that deploys with the Reagan. That ought to be fun.

Okay, so I meant to identify myself in the comment about the cruise ship. Yes, it was I, John, who made that "anonymous" post. Now the cat is out of the bag. From now on, I'll make this known...

Oh, and I meant what I said in that last paragraph about your venture. In case it didn't sink in, I'll repeat it. Monica, I love you and I offer you only the best regards as you embark on this journey with your brother. I only wish I could be there... Ah, the fantasy world that I live in...
