Mike and I went to Prescott this past weekend for the Second Quarter AZ Jaycees Convention. On the way there we stopped in Anthem for dinner and hit a storm all the way up from there. Lots of beautiful lightning.
My dad always said John Wayne was still alive :)

A view from our hotel room at Bucky's casino
I missed a great picture!
I learned how to play a slot machine at the casino. This is the second time I have actually gambled in a casino.
I was cravin' sushi so Mike and I went to Sake Bomber for the first time. I was so hungry that I ordered way too much and of course had to have my Unagi (Freshwater Eel).
This is Mike's dad, Hugh listening to South Pacific
Mike's parents were in town so we were able to celebrate Hugh's birthday with him. We went to dinner at Abuelos. Hugh said when he was in the Navy he was in a production of South Pacific and since I like musicals I had to give him the soundtrack. I'll admit that we were both singing to the songs :)
The story goes: When Carlos joined the Navy and left home Mom was so upset that all she did was cry in her room. So my dad kept trying to find things that would make her feel better. He asked her if she wanted to do something..."No". Did she want to go somewhere..."No". Finally he asked her if she wanted to go looking at cars and she sniffled, "Okay". Next thing they were calling me saying they bought a new car for Mom.
This she only got a hutch :)
These are some of the dishes it holds Mom likes the Mexican style setting
Blue is my Chihuahua born January 27th, 1998. He enjoys sleeping, playing with his donkey and lamb, cuddling, going for walks, and eating. Blue loves carrots, training treats and Natural Choice Crunchy Treats. Although Blue was the runt of the litter he now weighs over 15lbs. His vet calls him Hercules Chihuahua. Blue has the most accurate expressions I've seen from a dog and knows how to melt your heart. He is my best friend and I enjoy our time together. Since I don't have children and neither does my brother, Blue is the #1 grandkid.
Recently Mike and I got engaged and have started planning our wedding for 2010. Mike is originally from Michigan and now works for Maricopa County in the Flood Control District. We met at a Jaycee event in 2006, and went on our first date on Valentine's Day in 2007. Mike has changed my life in so many ways and I am truly happy. We are now married and living in Arizona.
