Sending Our Cheer

With all the rain lately, mom bought Blue his first rain jacket. I don't know why we didn't think of this years ago. Now I don't have to hold an umbrella over him while we walk.

Mike and I took Blue to get his picture taken with Santa at Petsmart...

Yes he's wearing a bow-tie :)

Here are some of my co-workers. We are the only ones left who were hired when the store first opened.

Yes we had a female Santa...actually Will and Maybeth took turns since the outfit made them sweat so much.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Family Christmas Boutique 2007

Well another successful year for the boutique. After 15 years we have decided to make this our last year for the boutique. We appreciate those who have supported us and attended our boutique over the years and thankful for those who encourage us to have another next year. Perhaps we'll change our minds, and if that happens then we will certainly let everyone know. Again thank you to the particpants, supporters, and attendees.

"Tis the season for Tamales"

Mom made t-shirts and aprons with designs saying "Tis the season for Tamales". They were a great hit and continue to be.

My Tia Angie made some swags and candle center pieces, and my cousin Rick painted some wood arnaments.

Here are some baskets my dad put together

Mom made the nativity scenes, dad found the snowman at Desert Industries and touched them up with paint, and I added beads around some candles. Talk about TEAMWORK!

On the tree you can see some ornaments my dad and I made.

Dad did a fantastic job on these terra cota lights. It was hard work but a beautiful sight to see.

Some stuff I made

more stuff

My cousin Monique had baked goods such as cookies and cupcakes. She also made her candy cane count down to x-mas strings.

Santa was able to stop by for a bit.
Haleigh was not afraid at all of him.

Even Mike and I got a chance to say hello to Santa :)

My cousin Gina's husband John and their son

Blue was tired after the boutique on Saturday and made himself comfortable on Mike. :)

ECD 400 Fall 2007

This was I have to say my most challenging class this semester...both academically and instruction wise. A lot of these girls were in other classes of mine and will be until we graduate. I've learned much from these girls and I'm glad we get to continue on our path together.

Grandma & Blue

Every weekend my grandma gets to spend saturday with one of her kids. During my mom's turn she made a fire for grandma. She and Blue both enjoyed it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year and had a wonderful surprise later in the evening...my Tio Freddy had flown in from East Chicago Indiana :)

Juilan
(he's getting big!)

Carlos doing some magic tricks

Anyone brave enough to go shopping at four in the morning?
(my cousin Elizabeth is the only person I know who will get up at three in the morning to go shopping the day after thanksgiving. She does this every year)

Carlos and Blue

Who tired who out?

Carlos loves to tease Blue by lying on his bed...this time he actually fell asleep. I don't think Blue likes sharing his bed. :)

I'm beginning to see a pattern here...at least they can share my mom's bed.

Dancing Lesson

For those who don't know or remember, every semester my mom recruites me to teach a dancing lesson in her spanish class. This is when they study about fine arts the history. Usually to keep it simple I teach the basics in salsa and merengue. This semester I was lucky because my friend Jonathan was able to join me which made it easier for him to teach to the boys and me the girls. We were able to get through more steps than if it were just me teaching.

They all did fantastic!

In fact my mom told me that she recieved a lot of compliments and wishes to do more things like that. If I had the time I would but school comes first for me.

These two boys practiced and showed my mom the next day what they remembered. I'm glad everyone had fun. This was the best session I've done in her class.

Priceless

This author decided to write a book about Mexican in Scottsdale after a different book was published with no reference to those who also helped build the city. This was a very memorable moment for my dad because one of the first pages you'll see in the book has a picture of the first home he ever lived in. A home that used to only exisit by memory. There are also pictures of friends and family which were thought to be lost. Finding this book and meeting the author who knew your family truely is priceless.

PIR NASCAR

Mike gave me an early Christmas present...tickets to PIR!

We were on the fourth turn third row up and even with ear plugs it was really loud.

We got to see a couple of crashes but nothing too serious. Jr. of course didn't finish :(
This was the first time I got to attend a race :)

Petsmart Howl-o-ween Party

Elvis Presley

Blue met some new friends

This is Maybeth...she's a riot!

This is the picture and picture frame Blue got at the party

Isn't my baby CUTE :)

This was the first time I took Blue to Petsmart's Howl-o-ween party and we had fun. Dad and Mike think I'm crazy for dressing Blue up, but they still supported him in their pet costume contest.

Happy Halloween!

Sunaik & Javier's halloween party

Ouch that looks like it hurts

Javier dressed up as "El Mariachi"

Mike and I decided to dress up as Pirate's since it's our theme for the Arizona Jaycees End of the Year Convention...we figured we may as well get the costumes now and use them again.

Arrrrr!!!
