So Very, Very, Very Far Behind

I know, I know I haven't been posted in a long time. I promise I'll try to catch up and sorry to those who check in regularly. I've been extremely busy with work and school. Here's a list of what's been going on:

*We found out mom is allergic to rubber and that's why she's been having troubles with her hands and feet...she now has to wear gloves and becarful what kind of shoes she buys

*I'm working at Michael's Craft Store as an FES (Front End Supervisor) and I close almost every night of the week and open the store on saturdays

*This next weekend I'm having a yard sale and selling some x-mas figures again like I did last year...some new ones are added

*Carlos is getting out of the Navy December 21st, or at least he says he is...last time he said he was getting out he re-enlisted

*Parris is coming home for x-mas and so is Carlos

*Blue is doing better...he was sick for a bit there but I guessed he was feeling better when he rolled around in some red water I poured on the grass from painting. Now I can call him a "redneck" lol

*I've been excepted to the Early Childhood Program at ASU and will be starting my block classes and going full time in the spring

*I was elected serve as VP Community Development Executive on the Arizona Jaycees 2007 State Broard...very excited about that!

*This year for the Scottsdale Jaycess, James and I are heading up the adopt-a-family for the holiday deal. I've been in contact with someone whom we might be able to help

Well that's all I can think of for now...still have more pictures to post, but need sleep at this moment. Hope all are doing well and again sorry for not keeping up!

Take care,
Monica and Blue and James :)

Christina and Juan's Wedding

I wish Christina and Juan good luck as they start their lives together!

I've known Christina since the seventh grade. We used to dance in the Balletfolklorico together and had a spanish class with Mr. Mendez. It's been great seeing her change for the best throughout the years!

Yes...I cried :)
Doesn't she look so beautiful?!

The ring bearer and flower girl ~ they were so cute!

The cake was beautiful too

They were a riot at the reception. They were dancing and kept kissing eachother.

I'm so happy for them both!!

Grandma's Visit

Some people believe that animals can sense what a person is feeling...I believe that with all my heart!

This is how I want to remember my grandmother. Always smiling :)

I know when she is haveing a bad day or a good day because Blue will not leave her side if it is a bad day. He's so smart lol :)

I've Fallen Behind!

Left-Right: Ditty, Princess, and Blue
These are Blue's frineds from next door. WE have play days for them.

The next few pictures were taken when Carlos, Lisa, and Adri were here visiting after their trip to Chicago.

"Hey Blue wanna go Swimming?"

Toy fish that my dad put in the pool

Me pretending to fish and catching my dad

Carlos cooking his steaks...he was so upset cause I wouldn't eat them lol

Adri and I went swimming and had a water gun fight...this is the end result lol :)

Alas the tradition of swimming with Carlos finally happened.

Poor Blue! Carlos was the one who helped me teach Blue how to swim; I'd throw him in and Carlos wouldn't let him get out.

USS Ronald Reagan CVN 76 Tiger Cruise 2006

I'm going to say sorry now for so many pictures, but how do you compress 8 days into as little as possible when they were spent on board a US Navy carrier? This is the best I could do. There are more pictures but I felt these were the best. ENJOY!

Everyone told me to take pictures of Hawaii...

So here they are lol :)
I was only in Hawaii for less than a day, but I had fun. I met the mother of a girl who was also doing the Tiger Cruise and we ended up staying at the same hotel so we had lunch together and did some shopping. Later I went out and walked around a bit until I found a country bar that was right below the hotel I was staying in. So of course I had to go in, hehe, and after 11 Carlos and his buddies fnally made it :) Would you believe me if I told you I got Carlos to dance?!

I took these on deck before we left Pearl Harbor

The Arizona Memorial

Everyone on deck had to stop what they were doing and watch zs we went by.

Looking at this ship gave me an idea of how Pearl Harbor must have looked that day.

My first picture of the Ronald Reagan :)

Me and Carlos

This was the brother of a girl that slept in the same place as me and we went on some tours together.

We were on deck when this guy came over and asked us if we wanted to take a picture sitting in the jet.

Of course we couldn't say no

Afterwards we thanked him and he told us a bit about the jet.

Aboard The USS Ronald Reagan

This is part of the radar room. I couldn't get a very good picture because we weren't allowed to use flash in there.

Left-to-Right: Carlos, Aggy, Iffy, and Chris.

Carlos checking the tip of the wing

We played BINGO one night...we didn't win but came really close with only needing three more numbers.

When they had their practice for the flight show, Carlos' squadren dressed me up like them so I could go on deck while they launched the jets. It was loud and I had to wear Carlos' boots that were way too big. lol It looked like I was wearing clown shoes. :)

This is how close I was while the jets were taking off. I was excited to see such a thing.

Flight Show

The next few pictures I took during the flight show. I wish I had a video camera so that all of you could see what I was able to see!

This was a demonstration of how they pick someone up who has fallen over board or is stranded in the water.

These guys scared me at first because I wasn't expecting them to shoot off guns lol.

These were all the jets used in the show.

Since I was already in uniform I got to stay on deck to see some of the jets land. No Tigers were allowed on deck during flight ops. I was very lucky!

Carlos

These are some of the guys loading a bomb carrier on the wing of the jet.
