Happy Birthday Mom!

Since April 13th was on a Thursday this year, we celebrated Mom's birthday on Friday by taking her out to eat at Abuelos.

Mom and Tia Joyce
Look it's Glenda the Good Witch :)

Tio Kenny and Tia Sheri

Dad...after he got the bill...just kidding, it wasn't that bad

Me and Mom
I had bought my mom a Princess crown to wear, but I forgot it at home, and didn't remember untill I sat down at the table. So thankfully we were across from Chandler Fashion Mall and they have a Claire's. In case you can't tell, her crown says, "Birthday Girl".

Love you Mom!

Happy belated birthday to Señora Morales. (by 5 days) I especially like the portrait of Señorita and Señora Morales together... Two graceful and exquisite Latina women complementing each other... Oh, and I'm sure that Señor Morales was happily obliged to such an act of kindness... What an elaborate Easter with the quinceñera and the two birthdays in such proximity to it. I wish my last week was that festive...

At any rate, I spent the holiday baking chocolate chip cookies (172 to be exact) for 3 hours; consequently, I had to hide the cookie dough from my father. (instead of the traditional eggs) His retort to my action was, "Yeah, but eating the dough is half the fun in making the effort." My response, "Perhaps, but if you eat all the dough now, there won't be any cookies to bake!" As one can imagine, he was speechless. However, there was obviously ample space for some dough to be rationed off... Enough said.

As for Tia Connie and the pinning of the rabbit's tail, I must confess that I expected to see something of that nature from someone who was blind-folded... It's an apt locale after all... I'll quit before I sink any further. (that is while I'm still winning) Love ya, Moni!
