Holy Cats!

After all this catching up and posting I forgot one very important piece of information...
I always said I wouldn't and it wasn't for me, but it finally happened. I'm a sorority girl now. I have officially been sworn into Kappa Delta Pi as of April :)

Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, is committed to recognizing excellence and fostering mutual cooperation, support, and professional growth for educational professionals.

Because I have kept my GPA above a 3.25 (it is a 3.33 right now) I can wear the Kappa Delta Pi Honors Cord when I graduate. To me this is a big deal. Those of you who know my struggle in college know that it took a lot of hard work to get my GPA up and the math and science classes I had to take didn't help. Those are not my favorite subjects. Fear not though, I only have one more year and I'll receive my bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I have already been thinking about teaching for a couple of years and then going back to get certified to teach sign language and become an interpreter. Not jumping the gun or anything yet but keeping options open.

Hope all are doing well!

Blue Can Sit

No one can give me grief anymore. After ten years Blue finally will sit when you tell him to. It took some work and lots of training treats and some help from Petsmart, but he will do it. At first he would only sit on the carpet or his bed. For some reason he doesn't like to sit on the tile or the wood floor.

YEAH!!!

Rob's Visit

Rob is our cousin from back east. We don't get to see him much but we sure like when he comes to town. We had brunch at Marie Callendars this past Sunday.

Mom holding Kordilia Lynn, and Rob

She sure loves her hands lol. Kordilia Lynn is such a good baby.

Shopping

I'm not crazy really. I can't stand the malls after thanksgiving and I don't like being broke for the holidays, so I start my Christmas shopping in July. It starts with a list (yes I do check it twice) and from there I research what I plan to buy to get the best price. By August I'm already crossing items off of that list so by the end of Novemer I only have to buy stocking stuffers. :) Sounds good right? :)

While I was out shopping/ researching I saw this at Burlington Coat Factory. I was pricing their baby stuff since I have two new baby cousins. Many of you don't know this, but when I was little I loved teddy bear ballerinas and my mom even threw me a teddy bear ballerina birthday party. I was given a stuffed animal that looks like one of the bears in this blanket and my mom made a cake to look like a teddy bear ballerina. I even had a piggy bank of a teddy bear ballerina dancing. If I ever have kids and end up with a girl she'll probably have teddy bear ballerinas too. :)

Now this was something I couldn't pass up and couldn't wait till christmas. I got mom this Tinkerbell lunch box as a going back school present. She was all smiles!
