It may be hard to tell fromt he pictures, but I graduated with honors. I am wearing an honors stole from ASU that is maroon. I gave that one to my Grandpa because he has always been supportive and encourged me to go to ASU. HE wore it at the resturaunt we went to afterwards and Mom said he looked like he was ready to give communion. We called him Father Glen. The white honors stole is from Kappa Delta Pi, which is a honor society in education. That one went to my parents for ALL of their support in my education and believing in me...despite how long it took. I kept my honors cord from KDP to remind me of the long journey I went through to graduate. I beat the ODDS!

My Commencement

Words to describe it: exciting, thrilling, amazing, wonderful, nerve recking, crowded, hot, disbelievement, etc.

After so long it was hard for to believe it was all happening. Even as I was getting ready and putting on my gown I kept wondering if it was too good to be true. After working for this for many years, yes years, it was hard for to grasp that I had finally made it to the end.

Me andn Christina (a friend of mine at Petsmart)

Birthday Celebrations at Casino Arizona

Casino Arizona has this thing you can set up to have a limo pick you and several other guests up and take you to the casino where you can enjoy the buffet or see a show. My Tia Olga set it up for us to celebrate the April birthdays. It was the first time I had been in a limo :)

We didn't have a bottle opener for the Cider so I used a key to open it...this after several of us tried and couldn't get it opened....what can I say I was thirsty :)

April Fools

After I had made myself teary eyed to try to play an April Fool's joke on my mom, I walked into her classroom to find another teacher there whom I wasn't expecting. It was too late, I had to go through with it because they had already seen me looking upset. The teacher told my mom she was gonna leave and let us talk and she looked very concerned. Well after I played my joke on mom, she said I had to write an "I will not play an April Fool's joke on my Mother again" letter.

I left this (completed on both sides) on the other teacher's desk :)
